Immilla Skate

This team of Indigenous women of Bolivia - Cholitas - are reclaiming their power, donning ancestral clothing, polleras and hats, while skateboarding - the ultimate white male dominated sport. Their very existence is an exquisite act of resistance. As they roll on wheels in unison or on their own, they project a beauty and power that is a talisman of healing.
