Ethnic studies at all CSUs

All graduates of California State Universities will now be required to complete an ethnic studies or social justice course. Signed into law this August by Governor Newsom, we celebrate this news affecting a student body with a population close to a half-million. Our focus is more on children and the broader community being aware of diverse groups’ histories, not just college graduates. But as an advisor to TeachTruth pointed out, the majority of those entering teacher credential programs in California will be coming through the CSU system. One step closer toward systemic anti-racism. Here is the report on NPR.
